The Sector Skills Unit (SSU) is the recognized reference for skills development ecosystem for the Accountancy, finance, and Auditing Sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
Sector Skills Units are the only entities authorized to develop NOS Packs and related products (including the skills certification) in the Sultanate of Oman.
Our Vision
Serving the members and stakeholder in the Accountancy, Finance and the Audit to promote the proficiency according to the Global and international standards and to protect the national fund and sustain the public interests to expose into the developed countries.

Forwarding Straight into the Globalization and committing to the International standards by structuring professional environment based on the excellence sustainability in promoting the proficiency.
our Key Functions
- Identify the skills development needs of the sector.
- Develop the National Occupational Standards (NOS) Packs.
- Develop frameworks of qualification and assessments.
- Develop and implement skill certification schemes.
- Develop frameworks of quality assurance for vocational program assessments in association with the regulatory body.
- Develop short/long term and apprenticeship programs.
- Endorse all short/long term and apprenticeship programs for the sector prior to official submission for program licensing to the respective authorities.
- Promote academies of excellence for the sector.
- Licensing and Accreditation for accountancy, Finance and Audit sector.
- Approving the training and new Academic materials for the sector.
